Portsmouth Central Masjid Invites Locals to See Islam for Themselves

 

On Sunday 03 March 2019 the Portsmouth Central Masjid will be hosting an open day and inviting local residents of all faiths and none to explore the architecture and history of the building and the beliefs and practice of those who worship there.

 

We aim to make local people more familiar and comfortable with Islam, a religion constantly associated in the press with a minority radical element. In the spirit of dialogue and friendship, volunteers, committee from the mosque have organised this event.

 

The day will feature tours, free refreshments, children’s activities and a chance to observe prayer in the mosque.
